This day and time you can not market an online business appropriately without Lead generation techniques. Being able to capture that name and email address will make the difference in your success or your failure. For many years operating an online business, I tried to avoid this type of marketing, thinking I could survive without it! I eventually realized that I had to use this method or I was going to get left behind in the online marketing world. I sold on eBay and other auction sites as well. Once sales were made at my sites, I kept in touch with my customers at least once a month. The problem with this method is that I felt as if I was always writing emails to my customers, not realizing there were much easier ways of staying in contact with them. I guess you could say I was kinda using a lead generation technique back then, but it was a lot of work and the leads trickled in when sales were made. The problem was, my business was growing slowly and sending personal emails took up a lot of time which could have been better used on the business.
Once I opened up my eyes and mind to learning about lead generation marketing, and how to use auto-responders, my online business took off financially, also giving me time and freedom to enjoy my life. Autoresponders are awesome, and can totally automate your online business as it relates to marketing and keeping in contact with your customers. It is also a great tool for generating potential customers and advertising products for your online business.
A few things you should consider;
If you are going to be successful online with any type of business, you will need to market that business well in the form of advertising. Paid advertising can get really expensive and usually there is not a way to capture that visitor's information unless a sale is made. If the information is not captured and a sale is not made, the paid advertisement is wasted money spent on the campaign. Free advertising is great but it will take a lot of time to create videos, write articles, and post to forums. So, What's the solution? A great lead generation marketing strategy.
Here is how it works;
There are basically three components to having a great lead generation marketing plan.
First, you must set up a capture page. The sole purpose of this capture page is to capture the potential customer's name and email address. You have to get creative when setting up your capture page. You must be able to persuade that customer to fill out and submit their information to your autoresponder, which is usually at the bottom of the capture page. Not only that, you must also be able to determine what the customer is looking to learn and what type of needs they currently have. This is very important. For example; If you are selling a wealth creation system, you will not want a customer looking for shoes to sign up on your capture page. Your marketing efforts will be useless on this type of customer. It is very important that your capture page has it own niche market, that way you can collect customers in that specific niche market. By using this technique, you can advertise many different products to the same customers in that niche market. By taking this step and capturing customer leads, you can advertise to them over and over again without spending additional business funds.
Next, you must have a autoresponder to make this entire technique work. The lead generation system can not work without an autoresponder in place. There are two autoresponders I recommend. The first one is "Aweber" and the other one is "GetResponse". These two autoresponders can do everything for you. They can capture the customer's information and then respond back to them automatically. This is where the system really gets cool! You can pre setup your advertising campaigns and respond to your customers as often as you like without doing any additional work on your part. You can set up a campaign that can deliver messages for over a year, sending several different messages a week. This alone will save you thousands of dollars in advertising expenses. The main objective is capturing the potential customer's information, it's like holding them in your web until they make a purchase, but the great thing is this, they can buy from you again and again.
Last, you must be able to work your leads to profit from them. For example; let's say you are promoting a wealth creation system and a potential customer opted in your autoresponder. If your first message is about your system and you send no additional messages, you really have not accomplished anything unless they purchase your product from that first responding message. You must be able to communicate first, building trust and a business relationship. You also need to be giving them useful information that can be use for their benefit. So many people make this mistake and before you know it, they opt out of your autoresponder. A lost customer does not build your online business. You must communicate and give them a reason why they should do business with you. Be their friend fist and help them, then make money from their purchases.
If you are not using an autoresponder to capture leads, you are behind time and just wasting your advertising efforts. To be successful in online marketing, you must capture leads and help your customers that opt into your autoresponder. Taking time to set your autoresponder will create additional funds for your business.
