Search engines can list your URL address on their directories, giving you free web traffic from web visitors. I recommend with a new website that you submit your URL to the search engine directories. You must be careful not to spam the search engines by submitting your URL several times. This is know as spamming and can hurt your online business. The search engines have high tech software that will catch you when you spam the search engines. You have to be very careful not to get black listed with this technique of submitting your URL address. Some say to submit your URL to the search engines once a month. I say be careful, and only submit your URL to the search engines once a year. There are two ways you can get listed on the search engines. That's why I recommend that you submit your URL to the search engine directories when your website first goes online, then continue to work on in-coming links that will not only drive traffic to your site, but will also help your website's rankings in the search engines. Do not use search engine submission software when submitting your URL to the search engine directories. Most of the search engines require you to manually submit your URL without using this type of software; therefore, do not waste your money on the submission software.
